QUETTA: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a roadside bomb blast near Quetta resulted in the death of a mineral official, identified as Shabbar Mirza, who served as a project manager at the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC). Another individual sustained injuries in the explosion.

The blast occurred in the Sor Range, an area known for its coal mines, situated in the vicinity of Quetta. Shabbar Mirza was traveling to the coal mine field when the bomb detonated near the PMDC vehicle, claiming his life on the spot.

Local police reported to the scene promptly, along with rescue officials who evacuated the deceased official's body and the injured person to a nearby hospital.
